This workshop focused on the complexities of conducting gold-standard assessments for adult ADHD, an area of growing clinical importance as more adults seek support for executive functioning challenges. Having previously delivered this training for psychologists across Ontario, Dr. Saeid shared these evidence-informed practices with clinicians from across Canada. The session offered an in-depth exploration of best practices in adult ADHD assessment, including a review of standardized tools and clinical procedures, as well as interventions following a diagnosis. It was designed to equip psychologists with the knowledge, structure, and supervision pathways necessary to deliver high-quality care with confidence to support neurodiverse adults.

Presented as part of a continuing education series developed for psychologists practicing in rural, northern, and remote areas of Canada, this session covered ADHD assessment and treatment across the lifespan. Dr. Saeid explored diagnostic criteria, screening tools, gold-standard assessment practices, differential diagnoses, and evidence-based behavioral and medical treatments for both children and adults, with a particular focus on the growing demand for adult ADHD assessment and the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.
